Community Involvement
In addition to providing high-quality legal services, the Boone Law Firm is committed to making its community a better place to live and work.  Members of the Boone Firm and the Boone Family have always believed deeply in community involvement.  The Firm’s patriarch, E. G. “Dan” Boone, always stressed to his sons, and now grandchildren, that the community supports you and your practice, so you have an obligation to support the community and in particular the non-profit and philanthropic organizations that are helping people within the community.  The Boone Firm and Boone Family involvement in the Venice Community dates back to 1956.  From the beginning and through today, the Boone Firm and Boone Family are ardent supporters of youth sports and educational activities in the Venice area and Venice High School athletics.  Dan and Freda Boone established the first season ticket program for Venice High School’s football team 40 years ago and Steve Boone still runs the season ticket program today.  In addition, members of the Boone Firm have serve as coaches and managers for Little League baseball, Miss Venice Softball, YMCA T-ball and basketball and a variety of other youth sports in the Venice area.

In addition to supporting youth sport’s activities, the members of the Boone Firm and the Boone Family have been involved with numerous civic organizations including the Venice Chamber of Commerce (both Jeff and Steve Boone are past Presidents), Manatee Community College (now State College of Florida), Boys & Girls Club, Big Brother/Big Sisters, YMCA, Teen Court, Family Promise of South Sarasota County, the Venice Foundation (n/k/a The Gulf Coast Community Foundation), Habitat for Humanity, Rotary Futures, Goodwill Industries Manasota, South Sarasota County United Way, Sarasota County and South County Bar Associations and more.  In addition, the Boones are and have been active members of the Venice-Nokomis Rotary Club for 50 years, with both Dan and Jeff Boone having served as President.  Lastly, Dan Boone was one of the founding members of Grace United Methodist Church in the early 1960’s and has remained an active member and volunteer serving on numerous committees, ushering, and more.  Jeff and Steve Boone have also been actively involved in Grace United Methodist Church for the past 35 years, including serving on various committees and volunteering in various capacities at the Church.

Dan, Jeff & Steve Boone have each received the prestigious “Pillars of the Community” Award from the City of Venice, in recognition of their lifetime dedication to the Venice Community.
